Karys Ryleigh

So once I again I have to start with a huge apology about my lack of blogging. I am trying to turn over a new blogging leaf so I hope to be more consistent.There is so much that has happened in her little life that it might take a few posts to actually tell it all. The first thing that I will say is that she is walking! She started walking in April and is now pretty much unstoppable. She also just turned two (which I can’t believe) the time has absolutely flown by. I will post pictures of her second birthday soon, I really and truly promise.The one thing that I ask is that in the upcoming month that you keep Karys in your thoughts and prayers. She is going to be having eye surgery on the eighteenth, to correct stiff muscles in both of her eyes.On that note I will end the post as I always do…with pictures!

Dustin and I took Karys to the park today. She had alot of fun swinging, it was definitely her favorite thing there. She also really liked the ladybug they had there too. I finally got the video thing figured out all on my OWN…so here is a little video of her on the swing. At the end of the video you can her hear say her favorite phrase “what’s that?” she says that all the time and actually knows what it means too.

So as you probably guessed I am now officially video happy, so here is another video of her “reading” a book. She absolutely loves books and would rather have a one than all the fancy ,blinking, talking toys(not that she doesn’t have plenty of those too!).

I once again have to apologize for not updating Karys’s blog more frequently. Well ,we have done alot since Thanksgiving but I would have to say the best thing that has happened is that Karys started to crawl! It was always a great source of concern for Dustin and I especially because of her neurological issues that resulted from her rough start. It was truly a beautiful miracle and the absolute best Christmas present that she could ever give to us!

Karys also had her first dentist visit(which she loved), hopefully her feelings towards the dentist won’t change when she gets older! After she charmed the whole dental staff, they did some x-rays, examined her teeth and sent her home with a toothbrush and a toy whale.

We also took her to the Christmas tree farm and the Turlock Christmas parade. She had a blast at both places! Here are a few pictures of the above mentioned events. Enjoy!

This year we traveled to Gilroy to spend Thanksgiving with Dustin’s parents aka  Papa and B to the grandkids. We had a great time and consumed WAY to much food! Karys had a blast and was stuck to her Papa like glue.

Last year at Thanksgiving Karys was in the hospital but we were thankful that she was doing so well. This year we are so much more thankful to spend it at home with our little miracle!  Its amazing what a difference a year can make!

Karys turned one on October 11, 2008. We decided to throw a party to celebrate our little miracle. We had such a great time and are very thankful to everyone that braved the wind to celebrate with us.

I have to say a big thanks to my parents and grandparents. They were such a big help to me. Also, Carissa my baking partner in crime…WE ARE NEVER ATTEMPTING CARAMEL APPLES AGAIN! Seriously though thank you for all your help, I really appreciate it. Karys loves all of you(and so do Dustin and I)!

We had a cute little petting zoo and two pretty ponies. We also had an awesome face painter. I also have to say the food was so good(and I can say that because I didn’t make any of it). I have a few pictures to share. Enjoy!

Yesterday we took Karys to the pumpkin patch. We used to go every year as a field trip so I thought that it would be fun for Karys to have the same experience. She had fun picking out a pumpkin and petting the animals. I took a few pictures while we were there…Enjoy!

October 11, 2007: The happiest and scariest day of our lives, at exactly 5:36 am Karys Ryleigh Wallace made her early appearance in the world. We can’t believe that it has been a year since then. Karys is truly our miracle and continues to bring us joy every day. It’s hard to believe all that has happened this year.We are so blessed to have Karys in our lives. We appreciate all the love and prayers that we have received throughout this year . Hope you enjoyed her first year here in blogland!

This weekend we just took it easy and didn’t do that much (and by we I mean Karys and I). Dustin ,however, was out on the back of our property planting grass seed for Karys’s big birthday bash in October. I cant believe that we are only a month and half away from her first birthday. Time sure has flown!

On Monday we went over to our friends Lawrence and Noemi’s house. I took my camera over there to take some pictures of Karys and their daughter Cesiah. We took a few inside their house and then went to the backyard to get a few more. Well wouldn’t you know it as soon as we got outside my camera battery died. Luckily Noemi had her digital camera and I was able to use that. I got a few really good pictures of Karys. Enjoy some of the pictures

First of all I have to say sorry for being so negligent of Karys’s blog. We have had so much going on in our lives that I just kind of forgot to tell everyone else about it!

First of all Karys is now 10 months old and doing extremely well. She weighs around 19lbs and is 26 inches long. Looking at her now, its hard to believe that she was a 28weeker.

In May my grandmother(aka GG to Karys) threw a wonderful party for our little one. It was a make up for the shower that we never had for her! We had such a lovely time at the party with all our family and friends. The following day was a Sunday and all our family went to church with us to witness Karys’s dedication. It was a truly memorable weekend.

In June we moved into our new house! After what felt like an eternity of remodeling we are here! Karys now has her pink paradise and is starting to make the transition from her bassinet to the crib.

Karys has also discovered her voice. She is an extremely vocal child and its just music to my ears to hears her babblings. My only complaint is that she only says dada, but everyone assures me that the mamma will come.

I promise that I will never again neglect her blog the way I have these past 4 months! Enjoy some recent pictures of her.
